Playing in E with .008's and Eb with .009's

Post by JimiJames » Sat Oct 05, 2013 12:44 pm

I feel at home playing in E flat (with Nickel SuperBullets 9's) and have 2 main guitars I jump back & forth, to & fro.
I use a guitar set up in Eb .009 gauge for my personal stuff & one in E with 8's
for playing out with friends and Open Mic's, and playing along to songs, and computer related.

...Well, I haven't played the Eb guitar for over a month and just recently (finally) plugged in and the guitar feels like butter.
Although, .008's are a thinner gauge, the 9's feel better and are easier to play.
...and you have the benefit's of a thicker string for better tone, as well. (like some Pro's do and have said when interviewed)

Thinner strings vs. feeling thinner

These are my Pro's & Con's
