SD JB PUP - refurbish?

Post by rgalpin » Mon Jan 22, 2007 11:01 am

i just found 2 old pickups that i used in the early 80's in an old flying V i had left at a friend's house.

one was a dimarzio SD - which measured 13.16 resistance - and the other was a seymour duncan JB that seems to be D.O.A. - i need to put the dimarzio in something to hear it -

but i was thinking of sending the JB to someone to have it refurbished just because it was the pickup out my first guitar - you know - sentimental reasons - aww... it's cool though - i must have played the hell out of it because you can see where the E A and D strings have worn away the plastic on the top of the bobbin.

any suggestions on who does a good job of refurbishing old sick pups?

Send Jeff at highorder an e-mail or WCR. I think both probably do repairs but not 100% sure.
