50 Watt Plexi Build

Post by Wagster » Thu Oct 04, 2007 7:36 pm

I'm thinking about buying a pre built 50 watter that uses a Metro board. It has a Heyboer power transformer and a Dragnall JTM45 o/p transformer.Check it out and let me know if it looks okay.I'm a newbie so I appreciate any advice.

It looks good, has some good parts and some budget parts,it depends on how much the asking price is, a bit strange that its a 50w with a 45 output transformer? what power tubes does it have in it?

My apology, After a close second look at it the parts are are fine, it has what looks to be Sozo caps which are great, are you shure the tubes are el84 and not el34? Steve

My bad they are EL34's.I added some more pics.I'm not crazy about the Marshall Logo on the Mojo cab.It has Mesa Boogie tolex which is kinda weird for a Marshall build. These are only minor things to me.I will most like put a new o/p transformer in the amp.The builder told me it was gone over buy Bob Reinhardt.I hear it's a freakin' loud amp.

I really like the bias test points. I have to put some of those in my amp! Very nice build.

Think of the tolex as from Matchless...now that looks great.

Ya I like the bias test points too. Anyone know where to get one of those bias pots/knobs he has between the EL34's, that would make biasing really easy.
