Hey guys...anyone have thoughts or preferences regarding placement of purple negative feedback wire on a 50 watt kit. Manual says to attach to output terminal but gives 4, 8, and 16 ohm tap options. Any opinions?
Thanks

Re: 50 watt negative feedbak question
I messed around with the taps and R values, and ended up staying with the NFB stock values and the common terminal with a 16 ohm cab. Sounded best to me for my playing, though I think comparably with this setup the 8ohm/8ohm cab sounds ratty and 4ohm/4ohm cab sounds even rattier, just more crappy/splatty as you go down in Z, but I only ever use a single 16 ohm cab anyways. My presence knob never goes much past 9:00 either FWIW..kevrockitt wrote:Hey guys...anyone have thoughts or preferences regarding placement of purple negative feedback wire on a 50 watt kit. Think I went 100K right to the speaker jack....I might bring it down a tad. It's a bit gainy for me.
