This is my first topic! Been reading a lot of time though. Now I need your help.
I'm finishing the first 50w plexi clone, with Magnetic Corp. trannys, Sozo caps and master volume mod. Quite standard for the rest.
Everything set, startup with voltage readings. Everything seemed to be ok, a bit higher than instructions -guess it's the difference in tension here in Spain (237v AC)-. But when reached V3, pins 1 and 6 read 380 & 388 volts, instead of 200 & 208 volts. The same in pins 1 & 6 of V1 and V2 are around 172volts instead of 148v.
Double checked everything but it seems to be right. Any ideas of what's up there?
HELP! V3 pins 1 & 6 voltage almost double!!!

Is that with or without tubes? I believe you'll get higher than normal readings without tubes installed.

Yes, all tubes in.
I'm thinking maybe it's a shortcircuit in any electrolytic?

Hi,
measure/ check the 470 Ohm resistor. Often one confuses (colorwise) this value with 470K!
And measure the continuity of the pi tailresistor to ground also.
In general: check all your ground connections for continuity.
Regards
Robert

I was right when i said there's great people in this forum.
Thanks Robert, you dig it!!! One 470 ohm resistor confused. Everything perfect right now, and it sounds..... simply WOWH!!
Thanks again!!
