On the diagram for where to use the optional AB carbon comps, it shows one on V1b with the .068 cap. But it is not listed on the 50 watt bill of materials or on Valvstorm.com website.
What is up with that? Are they unavailable?
Thanks

I get that. I want all components to be within spec. Was just curious about the absence of that particular resistor from the bill of materials, while being shown as one of the spots to use an optional AB CC.

Back when the Metro store sold AB's, the 2k7 wasn't listed so it may be unavailable. When I ordered some CC's, I got a generic 2k7. CC will have no tone benefit there anyway.

May be a noob question, but do CCs really have tonal benefits compared to say Takman CFs? Just curious for my next plexi 50 build...toner wrote:CC will have no tone benefit there anyway.

They can sound a little warmer in certain positions but they can also add a lot of hiss. Here's an article about them:
