RIP Jim Marshall

Post by LP's Rock » Thu Apr 05, 2012 11:05 am

:( A sad day to lose an icon of rock who either by skill or good fortune helped create the sound we love so much. As the Marshall website says today, he's in a better place that just got a whole lot louder.

:) Heaven is a Les Paul and and Plexi.

No responses? It is the long weekend I guess! This is very sad. Think of a world without Marshall. We wouldn't all be here nerding out about what capacitor value so and so was putting in the amps on the 24th of April 1967 (or whatever) Good thing we have so many people carrying on the torch (with a special nod to George).

And yes Les Paul and Marshall is hard to beat. I would include all Les Paul models in there, I was just cranking my Jr through my Metro and 50 and yes it was heaven. For me at least. Now the neighbours... :)
