I just picked up a kit build 50 Watt Lead Spec with PPIVMV with the hopes of converting it to a Bass Spec. What is involved in the conversion. Are there schematics available? Can I retain the PPIVMV? Are there any other tweaks I should consider?

I recently did the same to mine and it's pretty easy. Just need to change the split cathode on v1 to a shared arrangement and then change a few of the coupling caps and remove the bright cap on the volume pot and you've got it. If you do a search for the Metroamp 50watt kit instructions here it will give you a pic of the board layout for both circuits. And yes, you can keep the ppimv when you do the conversion.
