If so, is it like this?

turret furthest in top-left corner of board (with blue wire) connects to .22u cap, which connects to the furthest turret in the bottom-left corner.

turret next to that top-left turret (also with blue wire going to SB switch) connects to another .22u 630v cap, which connects to the turret next to the furthest turret in the bottom-left corner

ie. wire up the board like George's 69 PTP board in the store pics
Yeah you have it about right.

the 69 1987 is 50 watt, correct? Just wondering it shows a 100 watt tranny.

Yes. Thats a mistake. First time I noticed that. Like I said in the PM I started with a 69 100W layout and just altered the rest from there to make the others. Most of the mistakes have been stuff like this. Just stuff I forget to change to reflect the different amp.

Anyone have a layout for a "1917" 20 watt "PA" year 1973?

Thanks!

Hey Billy (And others) :

The schems have been downloaded 5200 times and counting

Damn, we should have charged $3 each...They are easily worth it. 2 $ for Billy, he did all the work, and one for me for hosting them ! :D

I would have a 12000 Metro , a JTM45, a JTM50 and a Metro-based bluesbreaker, and Billy would have his white VOS SG Custom...

Oh well... It´s Good to be able to help the good people on the nicest forum on the .net.

Well at least I know the work wasnt for nothing! It seems as though theres about 10000x less questions about stock marshall wiring and I have the feeling this is why. After all I made them out of frustration answering the same questions about wiring 1000x. Everyone seems to get the preamp wiring but the output tube sockets and power supply and filters seemed to be the main confusion and it doesnt help that marshall did it many different ways. The changes in the preamp arent nearly as complex.

Hmm. I dont recal ever deciding to do a full drawing of one. Theres plenty I could still do on top of a trem. Other 50W versions. Theres still a missing 100W from the early 67 era. The one with parallel bridge rectifiers. I havent done any Basses. No JTM45. No low wattage amps like the 18 and 20 watters. To be fair though I think theres plenty of other quality layouts of amps from 18-45watts and the basses are simple enough for people to know what changes to make to the preamp. If you want a bass of any era take the corresponding lead from that era and change all the preamp values to reflect a bass.

Man,those layouts look awesome! Thanks guys!I guess I'm late to the party.

What's the difference between the "67-68 Super Lead Layout (cans).pdf" and the "67-68 Super Lead Layout.pdf"?

I did a complete diagram of the 1959T by modifying one of Dan's 1959 diagrams in Microsoft Paint, although it's pretty messy. If I remember correctly, Dan never turned it into a smart looking diagram as there isn't really any interest for that amp here, and besides, the transistor used in the trem circuit is obsolete. If anyone has any stock of that 2G374 transistor, PM me as I'd like one to test the circuit with.

I'm hosting the untidy diagram on ptpcircuits.com (click diagrams, superlead/bass, 1959T 100w Super Tremelo) if anyone wants a copy. As far as I know my layout is 100% correct as I used 2 examples of 1959T's to draw it up; an early Plexi version and a later Metal Panel version. One or two values changed over the years but the layout stayed the same.

One has cans for the first 2 filters the other doesnt. Id expect that most people could figure out that despite the fact that cans are radial and regular leaded caps we use are axial you still connect them the same way but hell Ive had to ask much dumberer questions then that before so I just made both in case.

I guess I could make one up but not today. Im only even home 3 days a week now so whenever I get to it I get to it.

Billy I have your layout diagrams and like everyone else I am truly thankful that you have taken your time to make those drawings. I have built a '68 12xxx series metro amp and I am unsure what the best Grounding Layout to use as the filter section is different than a 1959.

Do you have any suggestions for me?

Thanks in advance

You can follow the grounding George uses for his 12 series power supplies. When I made my 67 era I just used the typical marshall grounding which was connect all the filter cap grounds on the power board together (along with the rectifier -)and ground it to the chassis with one wire. If I have any problems Ill usually just follow the Aiken grounding method on his site. Not for the whole amp just for some grounds like the rectifier/filters etc.. Keeping certain things seperate to stop any noise.
