Aww heck Neil, you've already got 1 like it.
Chop it in and treat yourself to another vintage bike!!!!!! (Or will that likely risk divorce too?)

In answer to the above, yes I have, maybe I will and yes a new bike is very, very obvious (still got the 'new' Goldie engine on the bench waiting for a crank rebuild and cylinder resleeve and the re-plated petrol tank sitting in my wardrobe waiting to go for painting )demonufo wrote:Aww heck Neil, you've already got 1 like it.

I am selling my 'shed' already (1972 SWB Land Rover Station Wagon) but still hanging on to the MG (phew).
Couple of cabs to go and maybe a Metro 50watt head (both the original 50watters have gone) and combo cab and I will have more space and I might have the cash for a late 45 that I have my eyes on with raising attention to its existence if you get my drift............

Ugh! Think I'd have done that the other way around(unless we're talking MGA twincam here!)neikeel wrote:I am selling my 'shed' already (1972 SWB Land Rover Station Wagon) but still hanging on to the MG (phew).
Okay, so I won't be looking at ANY JTM45's for a while then!neikeel wrote:Couple of cabs to go and maybe a Metro 50watt head (both the original 50watters have gone) and combo cab and I will have more space and I might have the cash for a late 45 that I have my eyes on with raising attention to its existence if you get my drift............
Actually, I won't be looking for anything really. There's a PA that's caught my attention due to the low price (so far) but I'm selling lots of stuff soon myself. Sadly out of hard times more than anything else. Although space is becoming an issue around here.

Re: To sell or not to sell, tha tis the question?
That's just the most difficult question on earth if it was me to decide!
Yes, I know, you have exactly the same amp, only original, and yes, i know, you can't play 7 amps at the same time, and yes, i know, there are not a lot of places nowdays (sadly) where you can use it properly (i.e. crank it up full), and yes many more times - it just makes economic sense to sell it. But to be honest, for me, it'd be easier to decide whether i'd like to chop off one of my legs than if i want to sell an amp. Especially a MASTERPIECE like that one!
My vote goes to: - NO, unless you really need to get rid of some equipment in order to fill some more important monetary gaps in your life - mortgage (not that £2k would help much ) - car, food, you get the idea
man... just look at those Lemcos and Mustards and resistors, the powetubes retainers, the reverse logo, the filtercaps and the dual rectifer... - and of course - the pink wire!
An amp to dream about...
