Metro FX loop volume boost when engaged?

Post by Kapo_Polenton » Thu Nov 08, 2012 11:19 pm

Just installed the metro tonight after ripping out a crappy imitation (shoulda just gone this route in the first place) and I am digging how it doesn't alter the sound but wondering about whether or not when engaged with no pedals or patchords in the loop , I should get a volume boost? I am not running anything through the loop at the moment just wondering if this is normal..

Thanks

Should be no volume boost, nothing different switching the loop in or out.

Likely the trimmer pot on the loop board is just set a bit off. So, just read the loop instructions section called "level adjustment" towards the end, that'll explain what to do. Hopefully a quick/simple tweak of the trimmer pot (as per that part of the instructions) is all you need to do so volume stays the same loop in or out.

Let me know if that takes care of it, and hope you enjoy the loop.

Solved! Just a little adjustment on the trimpot and good to go. Thanks again for your help and designing a really seemless loop. I really hear no difference in the tone. This kills the Granger (mojotone style) loop I tried installing before. I should have just gone with this loop in the first place.
