New guy here. Thought I would show a 6V6 Plexi build that I did using Metro parts from ValveStorm. Basically what I did was get parts from ValveStorm for a 50 watt build. I used custom ordered transformers from Heyboer so that I could use 6V6s and run them at 390 plate voltage. That way I could use some of my NOS 6V6s and run them at a reasonable voltage. I changed some values and filtering. It came out pretty good and sounds real good without extreme volume.

Re: Metro 6V6 Plexi Build
thats a beautifully clean build.
you combined some very special features - not only is it powered by 6V6s it also is a '68 Lead spec with tube rectification.
so how does it sound?

It sounds great. Not as "in your face" as the EL34 version. A lot tamer coming out of my 4-12.

Very nice build!
Been kicking this same idea around for the last couple years, and the transformers are where I tend to second guess.
Is the OT capable of running 6L6/KT66 tubes as well? Looks big enough.
