ZL FX Loop in 1968 Traynor YBA-1 question

Hi all,
New to the forum and have a question. I did a few searches and didn’t see any info on this topic. I installed the ZL FX loop in my Traynor (which is modded closer to a JTM45) and it went well. After trying it out, it seems to be clipping pretty good at the PI so my wet effects are still getting hammered. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that a plexi-type amp is getting a lot of its breakup at the PI. Are others having this challenge as well?
