Zero loss FX loop in Budda superdrive 80

Post by BasV » Wed Nov 15, 2023 12:20 am

Hi guys, need some help here. Be gentle please, first time working on an amp. :-)
I've been trying to build the fx loop in my SD80, but I think I'm overlooking something.
I've placed it just after the mastervolume. That means I cut the left lug from the pot from the board, so signal in goes to de FX print and out goes back to the board.
But then the volumepot won't work. FX loop isn't working as well.
I think my question will be, where do I put the FX loop, guessing this ain't the right spot.

thanks in advance!

When looking at the back of the pot from inside of the chassis, the left solder lug will be the ground wire. This needs to be connected to ground for the MV to function. The solder lug on the right is the "signal in" and the center lug is the "signal out" that feeds the phase inverter. If you cut the wire on the left lug, the MV will not function properly.
