Thanks man. Ive been slacking and need to get on top of that video. Hopefully today. I had an issue that I tracked down to one of the footswitch wires having an open that was causing one of the relays not to fire. Figured that out pretty quick though. Cheap ass made in china, rohs solder, marshall knockoff footswitch!!

Wow @ how many pages this thread is :hairband: Very cool :) Frank told me a while ago some schematics on the net are incorrect. He told me one guy did successfully reverse engineer the most famous Sir amp. I get the numbers, and amps confused. I have a list of basically every amp, and artist Frank worked with. It has the serial numbers of the amp, what kind of amp. He worked with so many talented people. Seems he worked with Warren DeMartini, and George Lynch the most. I recall them having the most amps Frank worked on. He has told me so many cool stories. Randy Rhoads was the guy whom made me want to play guitar, but Slash was the number 2 reason. There were many Sir # amps besides the most well known that are loved. I still love Gnr's Locomotive from UYI 2. If anyone is interested in seeing the list I'll be happy to ask him for his permission to post it :).

Those lists should already be in this topic. They have been for ages. Reportedly, Frank has told many different versions of these stories, including that he doesn't remember the specs of AFD #36. The #36 tone has already been nailed for a while now, you just have to personally tweak your own amp due to new production components, your equipment and ears. Unless the SIR #36 amp surfaces, it's not going to be much different.

The UYI #34 amp was reverse engineered by Santiago / Marshall due to Slash still owning it and letting it happen.

Hi :). May I please be honest about something. I honestly think Frank probably does know, and just wants to retire from the the Afd, and UYI amps. Me, and him have had many conversations, and to be honest I love Slash, and he's a guitar hero of mine, but we never talk about him much. Frank has told me nothing but cool Slash stories. So I'm just saying that never once have I seen Frank cast anything negative at Slash. But looking at it from his perspective you have to look at how many years he's had to talk about these amps. I think anyone would want to retire a subject after that many years of just a few amps out of 100's he's worked on. This is just my view, and not Frank's on this subject. I hope no one throws a shoe at me for saying this lol :peace:

I personally do still find the subject a bit fascinating, and think it's cool how much love these amps get after all these years. :)

at the end is very similar to 34.....Frank have said the right infos....not all infos are right....but some are right.....34 real mimic 36....the scheme was very similar with some little difference......take 34, add 10k stage and change some little components for the right sound....36 don't need bright cap on gain pot.....this is a right info...in my sample the amp don't have bright cap....but sound bright
