Killer sound VK, I drooled on my keyboard as I listened to your clips. I'm defenitely considering a build inspired by yours!
Great playing too!

I was wondering where you were with that amp! Sounds great to me. How are you liking it?

I really like the sound of it with the MXR DynaComp. It's one of the Custom shop reissues.
And Slaving, Holy Cow... It's killer Dude!

Hey Rockstah, since you didn't reply to my PM..is it true that you have a project with Dave Freidman and if true what is the big secret....respectfully

Thanks for the compliment Axeman! The credit and Thanks really belongs to ROCKSTAH for helping me make this Killer sounding amp! Could not have done it without his help!

The Marshall 1959HW:
v1a 330/820
v1b .68/820
v1a coupling .022
v1b coupling .022
vol1 bright 500p
tone stack 250p/56k
v2a .68/820
tone stack caps .022
Phase Inverter Input cap .022
Output Coupling caps .1
Screens 16u
Mains 32u
V3 PI 16u
Preamp 32u
Presence .1
220k resistor on V2 Pin 2
Mercury 7h Choke
Lar/Mar PPIMV
Georges Dagnall Clone OT
Georges Dual Tap PT on Low Voltage Tap

Using a Marshall SLP reissue 100% stock non-modified amp for the power amp.

PowerBrake and LineOut box just like Rockstah's setup. Greenbacks with 6402 cones.

Thank you. My 68 is modded the same way except for the filtering on the screens and mains. Can you explain how to change the screens and mains filters to 16 and 32 uf.

rockstah wrote:welcome man! and thanks for that. you will see there are many here that have a grip on the 12 series tone and have posted some killer clips.
there are some different ideas on how to achieve evh.
from my experience ill give you good starting point.

check list to evh:

330u/820 - .68u/820 split cathode
.0022u bright channel coupling cap
330u/820 v2a
33k/500p tone stack - 500p on the bright channel mix resistor
.1u in the phase inverter ( output coupling caps)
47k feedback resistor on the speaker tap ( 16 ohm feedback )

dual 16u preamp
32u PI cap
16u screens
50u mains

with everything on ten this is a real good start in evoking the dutch treat ;)

Mark
Please excuse my laziness is not re-reading the 48 pages, but is the above spec still the evh 12000 series standard?
