Sounds good Nigel. I always enjoy your playing, especially the blues improvs. Are you still working with that Levi MK mod in this clip?

Nigel....it sounds perfect, but you've had this solved and confirmed for almost 3 years. Anything new here?

Cheers guys :toast:

This a new mod, more along the lines of a tweaked 39 mod.

I just saw the sad news 2 days ago in the RJSamplification Instagram.

I Made a little post on my IG and FB page and Doug Aldrich saw it, at least one of the now famous guitar players got the message.

Horribly sad news. Frank is among a very small group of people that pioneered some amazing tone, which he deserved way more credit than he received.
RIP Frank

Sad to hear about Frank. His work has inspired another generation of amp modders & won't be forgotten.

Hopefully I've done Frank proud. I've now performed a couple more tweaks on my amp. Clip: http://sclk.co/r/s88r0f

I've increased the power tube grid stoppers to a more typical 5k6. All the B+ dropping resistors are now 1W carbon composition. The other change I did was rewire my speaker cabinet with Canare 4S6 speaker cable.

I think the amp now captures all the nuances of the tone that I've been chasing. I'm very satisfied. Cheers.

That sounds pretty good BMRSlash! I hear a lot of the character in there that I look for when listening to samples of #36 type mods like the right distortion character with crunchy mids and tight sounding lows while not sounding too stiff. Then having just the right amount of the cocked wah effect. Good work dude!
