Scom intro with Marshall's v30 version, the same speakers Levi said he used to develop the 36 mod.

I think that may be some of your best work so far. It really helps to get the scom tone by backing off those gains. Good job!

Greetings everyone. I'm sorry to barge in on this topic, however I could not think of any better place to post. If there is a better section for this then I will gladly take my business there. I would like to ask if anyone of you has any online contact information on MisterMiniMite/J.R. Rymas(?) (the guy who originally broke the #39/#36 story). He seems pretty hard to get a hold of, most of the forums where he used to post haven't seen him in a couple of years or so, and the one email address I could find no longer works. If anyone knows how to reach him I'd really appreciate the help. Thank you, and again my apologies for kinda hijacking the thread.

I have to agree with you Nigel, I think you have nailed it! What preamp tubes are you using? I feel for those who are close, the choice here could be the icing on the cake.

Good choice of tubes! I thought that might have been what you were using, but I wasn't 100% sure. They really lend themselves well to the S.I.R. mods.
