The specs say it has 4 preamp tubes!
If it is based on a 1959, then I wonder what the extra tube is used for... in the boost maybe?

I agree with Dave/yngwie308...Malmsteen's tone cut like a razor in the early days with the DiMarzio HS-3s and the dimed 50 watts, that provided (with the overdrive pedal) lotsa gain, yet clear as a bell. He needed this type of tone so that his hi-speed phrases would be discernable and have clarity as opposed to a blurred mess of notes. However, I never considered his sound to be very accomodating to using the treble pickup for his rhythm playing...JMO

Sloclone (but you can find 'em here too). BTW, that schemo is not from the marshall one, but a mod to get a similar sound.

I am not sure that the schematic shown in the above links are really the Marshall YJM100 schematic.

Apologies for the thread revival. I'm curious to see how the power scaling is implemented in this, as well as the gate and loop. It appears I got here to late to see a schematic - could somebody please repost? Thanks!
