Oh, my bad, good news then, the 470p should be able to handle voltages better, excellent

Hi everyone,
I have a similar situation with some silver micas marked - S.R.C 470pf 2% 7744 - and I am not sure of what voltage they can handle - are you familiar with these and can you tell me what their voltage rating is?

I am considering trying these on my Metro JTM45 as the bright cap and on the board!

Any help is much appreciated!

Best regards,

Jude

Bright cap over the volume pot would be fine as it sees very little voltage. Post a pic and I'm sure the fellas could identify them for you.

Thanks for your reply! I am posting a pic below - as you can see there is no marking on the back of the S.R.C cap - i have also put a Lemco 47pf cap in the pic to show the size - the SRC caps seem a little thicker!

Sorry I cant add a pic - "the board attachment quota has been met" - The caps are about the same size as a Red Lemco 47pf 2% but a little thicker and are tan in colour - the caps have no voltage marking on them but are marked as follows:

SRC
470PF2%
7744

Thanks again!

Jude

The Tone Stack caps have 160max ish (be sure to check). What you have should probably be ok

....The voltage across both the 500pf cap locations on the JTM45 (Bright cap and on the board) appears to be very small - I have installed the SRC 470pf's and the amp is sounding great!

Thanks again for all your help!
