They are totally different amps. The rest has 3 prepreamp tubes and using channel 2 inputs you get a cascade.
The AFD100 has lots of extra features, extra preamp tube and power scaling, just take a peep at the schematics and you will see.

So how similar is the one wire mod ,or better said what do I have to do to a 1968 style clone plexi to make it similar to the rr 100 , could I do this to a 50 watt 68 clone of the 1987 model or is this too much to ask.

Very easy, bit of a one trick pony IMO, unless you make it switchable like the one on SDMs site here:

Thank you for that link which one of those layout would you use to make this mod the one wire mod that is the most pro looking and clean and switchable .Has any of you guys out there that have done this type of mod or close to it have any pros and cons on doing it or should I keep my 1987 build stock or just add a master vol.,maybe put some resistors and caps on switch or two to get even just a small boost ? Iam looking for that ols scropions sound like no like you sound on the lead breaks real pushed marshall I have my jtm 45 plus kit I built and can get a few different sounds out of that from jtm to almost a plexi sound with out that much head room. Nice to me at least.
