2204 None cascade master

Hey guys. I just came across a schem of a 2204 master head ( 50w )... NON cascade... Anyone know anything about this amp?
I tryied in one of my heads, and it actually sound amazing... tight and compressed. Not that much gain but it feels great to play it. The first stage is pretty much the same as any super lead ( split cathod, with 2.7k/.68nF in the lead, as usual ). The fun part is in the "mixer"; instead of running to the pots after the signal caps, it runs directly to the mixer... and the mixer it self is not what we're used to; one resistors from each signal cap, joined together and straight to a 1M pot with 500 pF across, from there straight into the seccond stage... Any one seen this?
