[quote="Wicksy"]Yeah man, i remember hearing the real difference getting some good old glass in my 18 watter. Gone was the flubby, farting bass and grating overdrive. It was replaced with tight, dynamic tone 8) Thats the reason i've spent

I am convinced just ordered all the tubes for my JTM from tubetramp. He is very interesting and very quick to respond to my messages. This forum is great.

Take care
Dan

I got some Nice old Stock GE Preamp tubes from him for 15 each.

He got them right out to me.
Smooth A+ transaction all the way.
And the tubes were great sounding.

Power tubes from my expieriance don't effect the color of the tone just the way it roars when its turned up.But on the same thing crappy power tubes seem to cover up the color of good pre tubes...............if that made any friggen sense at all. 8)

try comparing a set of new EH or Sovtek with a set of NOS RFT, Mullard or TESLA... There's a whole world of difference in tone and feel (imo)!

Yes I saw it. I pm'd when he announced an expected delivery and he said he would send some after testing (my latest JMP50 will be looking for some NOS glass soon). tt was going to call when he had checked the latest consignment out but all went quiet. I pm'd just once again (before posting here) as I do not want to nag the guy if he is really busy - just wondered if the shipment had fallen through?

I don't even think EH / Sovtek can compete with Shuguang and =C=, yet alone NOS.
