Jeff Beck's jtm45 50 ... 100 ...

Post by Xplorer » Sun May 24, 2009 9:18 am

Hi ,

don't know if this was allready on the board, but i think it's interesting to hear Jeff Beck playing with a jtm45, and by the way, as i don't own one yet, i don't know if it is the smallbox of a 50 watts, or a normal one for a 100 watts, but anyway here's a link to see jeff beck playing one ( and some think it's a reissue, or a clone )

Angel, cause it's one of my favourite ; ) ( althought it is maybe not the best version ) but it's maybe not the best scene where you see his amp ( there are some others too, like in stratus or behind the veil ... ). the reverb is a lexicon alex that he set himself.

and off course, a great duo with clapton. jeff's doing amazing solos , jeff beck is on ( and this "where were you is a great version ) :

the ronnie scott concert is one of the best sounding recent beck tone to me, with some others from 99 for example, crossroad is nice too ...

he will allways sound jeff beck with anything anyway. but i love the way his amps react from clean to gain, with just a bit more attack : this is a good compromise, good proportions. sustain and harmonics are perfect. what would i prefer between a jtm45 and a jtm45/100 ? maybe both., don't know yet cause i didn't build one yet.

bet
Adrien
