Bogner inspired modded marshall

Post by scottosan » Sat Sep 05, 2009 10:33 am

Clips of my modded 76 JMP 50 watt.

Inspired by "strato" channel of bogner fish, with a number of tweeks. I also added the zero-loss fx loop George sells in the store, which is the best investment you can make btw.

All clips done an loud bedroom level. The playing is from my friend Tim. This was just a single take on each.

pres - 1:00
Bass - 12:00
mids - 12:00
treble - 1:00
volume - 9:00 -9:30
gain - 2:00

Sounds good.

He has a lot of Gary Moore in his fingers. :D

The crazy thing is that we were looking through some backing track that would show off the amp, he picked that one, said let me see what key it is in, then just played it. I asked him if he has ever played that before and he said no. I can't play in front of him.

That is funny if he hasn't heard the Moore version because the phrasing is almost the same.

Yep, some guys are simply blessed with great talent.

He is a music instructor, plays in a few bands and does session work. I am making a a clone of this amp for him.

I don't have the specific schematic drawn. IF you can find the Bogner fish schematic floating arounds, I can tell you what has been changed and what I did in the power amp section

IF is right. Doesn't seem to be something people are sharing too much, or at least I've never found it, though I have heard of people in possession.

That's definitely some nice tone I'd like to get my hands on. Some sort of cascaded channel thing I'm going to assume. How much different is this circuit compared to the stock layout?
