I have always wanted to do this!!!....
Clips T1 -T4 have been recorded on either a Metro JTM45/100 w/Shugangs or a REAL 1966 JTM45/100 with REAL GECS... Which amp goes with which clip? FWIW... T2 is accidentally a tad louder than T1... No eq, no effects, same amp settings, mic did not move... just the raw tracks... posted for tonal purposes not playing accuracy!! I couldn't figure out how to use the metronome feature!

T4 sounds a hair dirtier. I like that one the best

I'll play.
T1 - Vintage
T2 - Metro
T3 - Vintage
T4 - Metro
The even numbered tracks sound a bit brighter to me. I'm probably 0/4 though.

That's a relief. I'm at least in the ballpark. Looking forward to the big reveal!

I may have an unfair advantage, since the real one is my '66. I know the tone of that amp inside and out.
T2 and 3 are the original 45/100. T1 and 4 are Mike's 45/100 build.
The real one has more low end roll off and dryer mids. The build sounds ever so slightly scooped by comparison.

Both are such fantastic sounding amplifiers, it's hard to listen to the clips and not chill out. I felt myself getting into the tone and forgetting about listening for differences!

Man, I need to get a pair of those Cascade Fathead mics! The recordings sound great.
