Greenback rolla and prerolla came in 75 and 55 Hz.

Greenback G12H 102 014(55Hz) and 102 003 (75Hz)

Greenback G12M 102 014(55Hz) and 102 003 (75Hz)

Greenback G12H 102 014(55Hz) and 102 3 (75Hz)

Greenback G12M 102 014(55Hz) and 102 3 (75Hz)

The longer numbers such as "102 003" indicate that it's an older Pre-Rola, and a "102 3" would indicate a newer Rola.

Mark you need the G12M 75hz period .........well maybe some g12H also in there, in cab number two

I had echo that Wagner pick up is a good friend of Jim Seaval of Scumbacks speakers (Now know as SOUTHBAY AMP WORKS, they just change there name to a more cleaner name now LOL, the speakers are still named Scumback though...).............I love my Scumbacks H55 more then my H55 from Celestion Heritage for sure, much more........I waiting for some H75s and M75 from Southbay amp works (Scumbacks...)

Yeah Mark, these one are maybe the best reissue Celestion did so far BUT you should consider the Scumback version of that same speaker it's the M75hz and it's at 25watt not the 20 watt version (same cone number 003) I think scumback nailed it much better....

all the 014 cone numbers are bass cones around 55hz
all the 003 cone numbers are Lead cones around 75hz

so Celestion made one of each 4 basic type of speakers for the type of ratings (20-25 or 30watt) of course they did crap ones like the G12M 70watt speaker that one is a piece of shit, stay in the 20 to 30 watt range G12s..........

tWreCK wrote:You also have to take into account the studio "wizardry" that took place with Templeman/Landee. I think alot of people overlook the fact that it was all recorded in a high dollar studio at the time with all the benefits that gives you. Think of all the recording equipment used such as Neve consoles, Studer analog tape machines, a myriad of high end mics, etc etc. Last but not least let's not forget Edward's hands/touch/feel.

Now compare that to what George is using to record this 12000 series amp and I think we all can agree that it's as close to VH as it's humanly possible to be considering the circumstances. I'm sure if we had a time machine and could get this amp in the studio with Ed back in '78 it would have sounded the same as his "fabled" '67..............

I'll be ordering one soon George :D
No doubt Ted and Don did some amazing things from a recording perspective. The studio on Sunset had some great gear in it, but it certainly wasn't as impressive as you might have imagined. This is the console that VH1 was recorded on... Image

OOOOooooo!!!!! Look at those mic pres! Pure audio excellence there. I think I read this was in somebody's garage or basement. Shame.

I hope it has found a nice home.
