That really is the Tush tone! Sounds good. I'm sure it's different in the room but with headphones, the clips sound 'tamer' (for lack of better words) than I expected. I can hear the breakup abut don't hear the power behind it. Check this out:

That's a '73 SLP through a 4 x 12" at one of the ampfests we had a couple years ago....you can just hear in the clip it's a complete face melter. Is the '67 just a cleaner amp? It's shared cathode as opposed to split, right?

I did have the volume backed off a little. Here's a couple clips with the volume dimed. presence at about 8 and bass is about 1.
One is my real '67 the other is my replica.

A = the replica '67
B = the 'real' '67

Right?

Anyway, both are sounding awesome - and my compliment for your great playing!

Thank you!

The real '67 is all NOS Mullard.

The replica is Mullard RI EL34's and Tung Sol RI 12AX7's.

Let's get some guesses in here, folks. I'd love to see 20 or 30 guesses so we can get a concensus/percentage.

This is way better than the pepsi challenge. :)

"A" sounds a bit more open to me than "B" does. Seems to have a little sparkle that the second one doesn't. "B" sounds a bit more worn, if that makes sense.
Why is it we can remember where all the wires go, but can never find a pick?
