Mark "Rockstah" Abrahamian

Post by 54strat » Mon Sep 03, 2012 9:37 pm

Just clicked on the "Guitarist Dies After Show" story floating around and saw that it was Mark Abrahamian! Only 46 years old! I know Mark and George kind of had a falling out that got "Rockstah" kicked off the boards here, but jeez this is unbelieveable! Eating with his Starship band mates after a show Sunday night and just dropped dead!

The guy was really kind and very helpful to me and he built me a great amp...I didn't know him that well at all, just a few phone calls and e-mails. I know his actual friends and family and especially his girlfriend are feeling the loss and my sympathies still go out to them. Regardless of whatever disagreements and/or differences of opinions, his sudden death was tragic indeed. R.I.P. Mark...

Man its a heavy topic , I really liked Mark and his friendship . I was shocked and personally impacted for a few years from his passing . He was warm , kind , very knowledgable and would really do anything to help a person . We had a few tifts when he had a few guys on hold , but we were still friends and just jawing on the stuff . He lead a small town life despite living a big time life on the stage and such a huge prescence on the Metro Forum , The Amp Garage and such . He built stuff and shared everything including pictures and schematics let alone sound clips and such an awesome playing style . He was a hybrid player . I strive to play like Mark . I was a chameleon and could play anybodys stuff . Mark did this too . BUT , he took it and ran with it and developed his own style . I wish someone would link some of his live work . He is a benchmark . Way , way better than you ever imagined . Shows any of us can go in a blip .
