My first post as a new member.
Thank you to George for this opportunity!
I sincerely apologise if my information request is not strictly within the ethos of this forum. It is something been bugging me that some of you might be able to answer?
My main reason for joining this great forum is that I am a radio ham in England, licensed back in 1967 and have some components that may be of interest to amp builders. BUT, that will be in a few weeks time! Please be patient & wait until then! I also have an interest in how people restore some of that great gear from the 60s and earlier.
I know nothing about those great amps of yesteryear, but do understand general electronics and also valves. (Tubes for you guys!).
Something been bugging me though. I have owned the 12" vinyl LP album "The Ventures Knock Me Out" since around 1967.
There is a wonderful, smooth, slow track called "Tomorrows Love". However, EVERY search on the internet brings results of a different, much faster, twangy guitar number. I have NEVER been able to find MY track of this anywhere on the net, only on my own vinyl pressing.
What I ask is this. Can anyone tell me why this is? Are there 2 versions of tomorrows Love by The Ventures?
Without moving stuff and digging deep to find it, my album is an original 60s, mono LP and on the Liberty label.
I will be away in around 36 hours, but will keep an eye open for any replies.
Thank you all, Robin

Sorry for delay replying. Yes that is the one. As I said, my vinyl version is totally different music though. Not even like what is played on youtube etc. One of life's mysteries.
thanks Rob

Found it at last! Just now! See:

Evidently "Love goddess of Venus" was mistakenly pressed as track 3 rather than "Tomorrows Love" as the album and centre label definitely state on my version. Hence my confusion not recognising the Tomorrows Love tune (on youtube etc.) audio track as what I have on my vinyl. I bought my copy when working at my first job, almost 50 years ago. I wonder how rare my vinyl is?
"Love Goddess of Venus" is one of my top-ten all time likes. Along with Spectral Mornings by Steve Hackett and Blue Guitar by Justin Hayward & John Lodge.
Regards to you all from UK, and thanks to George for the use of such a great site. Robin
