Stairway to the Heart

Post by JimiJames » Wed Dec 10, 2014 10:35 am

Jason Bonham, Ann & Nancy Wilson !
This was well done. I also liked that the lead wasn't note-for-note and that it was masterfully executed.

Excellent performance !

By the end, Robert Plant could barely keep his composure, very moving indeed. Look at that, a Friedman amp center front!

I think that was a build up to end all build ups! Just Nancy accompanying Ann at first, but by the end they were on top of Mt. Everest.

Great performance for sure. Ann really got up there at the end and nailed Plants parts. I guess Robert tear-ed up there 'cause he knows he cant get anywhere NEAR that anymore  . Nah, in seriousness though, I'm sure there was alot of sentamentality going through 'ol Plant, Page and Jonesy's mind during that.....it WAS pretty stirring.

I actually liked Lenny Kravitz take on 'Whole Lotta Love'. His vocals were soulful AND aggressive. That white guy with the fro who's played guitar for Kravitz all these years is damn good

All the things you guys just said.

At first I thought Plant was thinkng "fukin great, I HATE this fukin song" but then he certainly chnaged his mind by the end.

Yeah, playing Jimmy in front of Jimmy does take small well sized cojones!!

Did you see girl behind Pagey say "wow' when the full choir kicked in?

Page gets a bum wrap for sloppy playing (and at times it's deserved) but can you imagine those three guys sitting there saying "Great song we wrote and recorded, eh fellers?"

It looks like the friedman amp standby is off.
