I love him...doing it sooo early and under the wing of Jimmie Lee Vaughan. He, Doyle II, David Grissom and Lance Lopez are really amazing artists in all respects and it doesn't hurt that they are Texas based so I've seen all of them and met all of them and even become friendly with some. I learn something from them every day!

Re: Gary clarke junior
Texas blues-rock guys are generally friendly and the most successful ones are generally very encouraging and cool. I've met both the Vaughan brothers, Malford Milligan, Gary, the members of Double Trouble, most of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Abe Laboriel (drummer from Austin who plays with Paul Mcartney), David Grissom, Joe Ely, The Texas Tornadoes (the late Doug Sahm, the late Freddy Fender and Flaco Jimenez) and I am actual real life, non-Facebook friends with Erykah Badu and her large band and family, Doyle Bramhall II and Lance Lopez, all of whom I have jammed with.
I'll never even be in the ballpark of these people, but they have all encouraged me and been very warm to me over the last 30 plus years. Go and see your favorite Texas artist play live and buy their stuff!
