Saw Dave Mason in Concert last Nite

Post by chrisom » Sat Mar 14, 2015 10:10 am

A buddy of mine invited me to see Dave Mason in concert at Kansas City's Voodoo Lounge last nite. He had been given a couple free front row tickets for doing some photography work for a recent concert series. Mason, a 68-year old veteran of Traffic, Delaney and Bonnie, Derek and the Dominos, Fleetwood Mac, and a 1970's solo artist played many past hits and some new material to an enthusiastic crowd of his peers for a couple hours, and though he brought his own lead guitarist on tour, he ripped out some nice extended lead work himself, and sounded as good as when I heard him on the radio growing up, both in guitar and vocals. If he comes through your area I would highly recommend checking out the gig... :listen: :shred:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuo6a59bwGQ
