Yes MacGaden, and that cut is one of the best, I have several bootlegs of the concert, the one I passed up going to in high school as i didn't care for the crowd that was going, my loss of course!

I think I've got the Royal Albert Hall Show somewhere. Is it the same as Experience( Soundtrack of the Motion Picture)? If so I do have it, and it is pretty stellar as far as live Jimi goes.

AFAIK This album was recorded on February 24, 1969, at the Royal Albert Hall. I think it is a compilation of Experience Volume 1 and 2, which were released in 71'. I personally think that the band sounded really tight on this disk, and I can hear his later vibe shaping up on this recording.

Track Listing:

1. Sunshine of Your Love (Hamster on crack speed, but still really good)
2. Bleeding Heart (My fave track on the album)
3. Fire
4. Little Wing (Perhaps my fave version)
5. Voodoo Child (Slight Return)
6. Room Full of Mirrors
7. Purple Haze
8. Wild Thing xz
9. Smashing of the Amps

Anybody else have this disc cept' me?

So the other R.A.H gig was not so hot?

Oh yeah...

This version of Little Wing is my fav too...

I like Voodoo Chile a lot man, kinda of farty fuzz, raw sound and the part from 4:13 to 4:18 makes my hair stand every time i hear it...sound from hell...

Yeah, then thats what I got. It's dubbed "The Last Experience", I guess meaning the LAST UK performance with Noel. That title was very 'misleading' to say the least. Hendrix was feeling it on that show to me. I agree about 'Little Wing' and 'Voodoo Child' being real good.

The Experience played RAH Tuesday 18 February '69 (audience recorded by CG) but it's the Monday 24 February show that we're all familiar with which was professionally filmed and recorded.

I never had a problem with the 18 Feb show but the JHE spoke about it in interviews as not being one of their best...
