I thought it was a great gag, but you're right, Dan. Another try at making money off of Jimi's name.
I didn't even look at the back until a minute ago. They are nickel plated steel Dean Markely's. And, of course licensed by "Authentic Hendrix, LLC" Will I put them on my guitar? Not a chance.

I don't know why Dean Markley is making the strings, I'm pretty sure Hendrix used the Fender rock and roll 10-38 gauge strings, when he wasn't experimenting with string guages.
And as far as I'm concerned Dunlop shouldn't be making a Jimi Hendrix wah pedal. One because Jimi used a Vox Clyde McCoy wah. Have you noticed that their wah pedal is just like a Vox in color.

yeah, I dislike all these new dunlop "authentic analog" jimi pedals. I got a look inside the new wah while I was doing some experimenting with my own wah. It seems to pretty much be a stock crybaby with a few resistor changes. Same transistors, same crummy dunlop pot.
A few resistor tweaks and possibly changing the sweep range cap on a modern crybaby aren't going to get you anywhere near the Hendrix wah tone, no way, no how.
