Instrumental version of Bold As Love

Has anyone any suggestion about which MetroAmp is better for this tone?

JTM 45/100, 10000 series, bass/lead?

I would bet that it is probably a 10,000 series lead. You could get there with lead or bass. The 45/100 would need to be pushed with a boost for some of the leads on that song.
~Current Amps~
1. 1963 Sano Supersonic
2. 1990s Fender Dual Showman
3.JTM45/100 Build

~Future Amps~
1. 69 Superlead
2. Lots of Metropoulos amps

Hendrix was probably using a 1969 Super lead.

Are those the specs of the 10000 series made by MetroAmp? Is the difference between Super Lead and Super Bass '67 plexi just a bright cap? What about the 12000 series superbass?
Recently I had the opportunity to try a Marshall Super JH 100, but I found that it has too much ghosting and it sounded muddy and non clear expecially in the low frequencies (maybe due to the speakers or attenuation). I'm looking for the sound of Bold As Love. Other references for the sound I'm after are these:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ_SFqZYy_g

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suY3OOfhUF8

Is a 10000 series a good compromise for that sounds?

Thank you all, and sorry for my poor english

Thank you al, ...
- no, this amp is not available by any amp manufacturer I know of. Germino used to make one though.
- yes, 5nf
- the 12000 superbass is a little different because of increased filtering, different transformers etc

Thanks for the info. Just some questions... Does a 10000 series sound similar to a black flag? I heard this demonstration video and it sounds amazing:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzmLMu3o ... r_embedded
but is played with humbuckers... I can't find a demo of this amp played with a strat and it is unlikely that I have the opportunity to play one of these amps with my strat. Anyone knows how it compares to a 45/100 or a Marshall JH hand wired?
I read on the MetroAmp site that an amp with that specs is used by Eric Johnson, so I searched on youtube and found this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERFFXvPV9XE
On minute 1:45 he plays a black flag, sounds close to what i'm looking for, except for the reverb and delay that i don't like.
Unfortunately for me I read somewhere that EJ uses 6L6s in his amp, but the 10000 uses EL34...
So i can't even figure out how the metroamp 10000 sounds with a strat.

hendrix used the early 10000 series, an amp with dual rectifiers. metro makes the later 10000 series, an amp with single rectifier and stiffer filtering.

here's an explanation of the different models: http://folk.ntnu.no/roef/JTM100.html

It was recorded at Olympic Studios, London, October 5, 1967. So it could be a 10-series. Sounds like EL34´s to me.

yes and october 29 possibly. pics from 67 show the 10000 series black flag. the jmps with indicator faceplates show up a little later but its not impossible that they were used on axis although a black flag seems more probable

OK,the black flag has lower filtering, dual rectifier and other circuit differences from the later jtm 100 10000 series. But how does this translate in terms of tone? Does anyone here in the forum ever tried or owned both a black flag and a later '67 10000 series? Are they considerabily different from each other in terms of tone?

Neil appears to say no. Germino changed from the earlier circuit to the later circuit, possibly because of ghosting. I'm building both amps now, will report back after summer vacation
