Really awesome tone! Amazing!! also super great player!
This vibe seems sensational! May you tell us more about the gear used in the video? What Marshall model? Wah and fuzz face are stock or modified? Amp and fuzz settings?
thanks for sharing this!

Thanks guys, glad you like it!

In this video I've been using a variety of different guitars because I wanted to present the Vibe Machine in all it's glory. It really is a killer unit and I've been using it for years.
My main giggin' amp is a stock '76 JMP50 in combination with either '64 Bandmaster or '71 smallbox JMP50, that's why I choose 'em for this demo.
I've used different settings for different guitars on my JMP 50's but basically, low presence, Bass 5, Middle and Treble around 6 and both channels jumpered. Volume around 4-5 on both amps.
Cabs are 1969 Marshall 1960A basketweave loaded with very rare quad of early 70's Hiwatt Fane speakers and 1970 B cab with pre-rola Greenbacks.
Fuzzface is stock Dunlop JH-F1, Cry Baby is early 70's Italian model Echoplex2 is also all original.

I've also did a demo for V-1 Vibe Machine few years ago, you can check it in here:

Killer video! You are really a great player!! And this Vibe Machine seems incredible! I think I'm going to buy one of these.. which model do you prefer, V1 or V2? When you talk about amps in combination, you mean amp in parallel setup?
I have got a blackface bandmaster too, from early '67, but I never tried it with a 4x12 marshall cab, because the 4ohm output impedence of the amp.
thanks for sharing!

Thanks man!
I was using an A-B box to split signals to both amps. Bandmaster is always connected to 2x12 8ohm box and it works great.
As for the Vibe Machine, you can't go wrong with either version, they are all great units. Both feature the same opto-system with hand selected photocells but V-2 is newer and it have multiple features. Basically, V-2 offers you a complete V-1 functionality complemented with a lot of additional features and tweak possibilities: Tap Tempo, Cancel mode (like on original Univibe), Grit (overall presence) and Chorus/chewiness adjustment controls, Fast/Slow mode with adjustable Leslie ramp delay, Custom input impedance trimmer.. list goes on and on. You can use expression pedal to engage those functions or footswtich. It's really versatile.
Btw, B-stock units are on sale now, so if you planning to buy one, now it's the time

Hello !

i did some tests with a modded SM57 + a ribbon SE R1.
going through some virtual fairchild emulation compression + the helios console preamp emulation from Eddie Kramer + some pultec emulation. and some reverb in the end.

but i seriopusly need to learn a lot more about how to use all this properly. i'm not there yet for sure.
Anyway here's the little clip. the amp is the west coast amp. strat with 69 slider's pickups, and my vibe clone, and modded blue fuzz.

I found this old clip playing through a Jimi 1982BJH bottom loaded with the stock Celestion G12-C.
'68 Superbass spec shared cathode.

I have been following this Hendrix forum for a while now and decided to post a clip from a school performance of the tone I have. The amp is a ceriatone plexi clone with 6550 in it. A Mexican strat, axis fuzz with volume at full and fuzz pretty low. A area 51 wah pedal with a buffer. The univibe clone is probably the worst part of the "rig" but I have a hard time getting a good sound out of univibes anway.
