Cheers Adrien :)

I'm using an old Ibanez strat ('69 style). The amp is a Superlead clone w/mustard caps(IIRC there's a chicklet 0.68 on V2) buth 0.047 on PI. Resistors are Piher and AB carbon comp. Valves : short base RFT EL34, RFT (V1), Tungsram (V2), RSD (V3). Cab is my "upgraded" 1960HW http://forum.metroamp.com/viewtopic.php ... 15#p404262" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Amp settings were (probably) volume 8, treble 5, mid somewhere between 5 and 10, bass 10 presence between 5 and 8. PPMIV around 60-75% and attenuator -5db.

I'm also using 2 curly cables (Bullet & Custom77) and I switched on a Keeley modded AD9 delay for the solo. The rest of the pedalboard is : King Wah - Custom77 OD - Fulltone octafuzz - Keeley AD9 - Marshall VT-1 - Boss TU2

Oh and Tortex Sharp 1.5mm plectrum and Puramid Nickel Classic strings !
Hope I didn't forget anything

another clip, quite based on a part of 1983 even if it sounds different for sure.

Beautiful. So fun to get lost in the Echoplex's character. Really nice.

thanks  , even if my playing is really messy, but you got the point, this is just about echoplex fun, with a fuzz in front of it, so cool.

Oh yeah...I used to record myself just mindlessly playing anything with echo and various effects and chains going. The echo helps set a mood to play to. Guaranteed fun for hours!

Awesome Xplorer, I really enjoyed that. I have high blood pressure, and I think I could medicate myself just by listening to that style of play. So tranquil and free. What uni-vibe are you using? That uni-vibe tone your getting is the most luscious and warm that I've ever heard.

Really ?? wow, i appreciate so much ! i'm unconcentrated though, as soon as i record myself, doing 50 % as good as what i did prior to recording the stuff.
Well, it's a roger mayer Voodoo vibe, the big one, signed by roger mayer.
i realised that the megavibe sounds good through a superlead, although the Voodoo vibe doesn't do as good. but with a 45/100 it's another story, and the Voodoo is my first choice for now.
thanks for the kind words. i'll try to post some more stuffs later, more hendrixy tonewise.
i'd like to do a very close little wing tone, with some little basse with it.

haha ! yes tranquility !
I was waiting for a little more attack in the right hand so I could hear
the amp's dynamics (and guitar and pickups), but enjoyed the laid back passage. :jimi:

I did hear a bit of '1983' but the overall vibe I was getting from your clip is very remaniscent of some of the sounds on the posthumous release 'Midnight Lightning' (1975).I've heard that Alan Douglas sort of added some post production to it, but I really liked the sound on it. What strat were you playin' ?

i didn't hear this alan douglas stuff, i should check for it. yes, there's a part of 1983 that is cool to introduce some variations while having fun playing.
it's a strat made of a deluxe body, contoured heel, two points sync tremolo. a 1991 strat jeff beck, gold lace sensor pickups, which have a low output, and are very playing in this configuration, i like it. my favourite strat. And the neck, well, it has no brand on it, it came from a cheap stratfrom 20 years ago, and it was old already. my first strat. i'd like to clone this neck, really, much better than any other fender strat neck i've ever played, even if it looks cheap, damaged, and the truss rod is vibrating Inside ! unscrewed from the neck Pocket side, same as on jimi's black strat. very playable. narrow fretts.

I wish I could claim it as my own but, it's a Hendrix tone to aspire to. The guy that posted the video is Oceres from YouTube, and I see that either he, or someone else had already posted this video earlier in this thread prior to my posting (unbeknownst to me). Great minds think alike A?
