This Super Bass came modded with a splith cathode and a bypass cap on V2. There's a fairly good MV on it also in place of volume II. Original Dubilier presence and 0.1uf caps too which I've mostly not seen on Marshall amps.

this wasn't an attempt at doing hendrix stuff but nevertheless ended up with some jimi vibe to it
Nice! Great sounding band!

What amp did you recorded it with?

thanks for the kind words.
its just a dl4 delay and a roger mayer octavia, if I remember correctly. guitar is squire strat mostly and a 45/100, at least for the break. otherwise its a LP special

That sounded great. The singer's yell on beats 5 and 6 right after the vocals begin sounded for a second like classic early Geddy Lee off from "Finding My Way" but had it's own identity throughout the song. Guitar sounded good, too- co

not a Hendrix tune

2 guitar cover band ... my bit starts at 3:00

the amp Is a Traynor YGM3 guitar mate 18 watt el-84 combo
because of the close confines of the room the amp is only at about 3

the amp has what I consider the BOG mods, adapted to the traynor obviously
as you can hear I can pretty much hold any note on the edge of feedback as long as I want

still lots of technical issues with the recording, failing mics & mal adjusted channels
a work in progress as they say

Merry Christmas !
So ! i made a machine tone demo , to show that only the 45/100 could do this tone. i used the original as a backing track, and cut the worse parts of my playing, i didn't want to disturb the original too much, this absolute masterpiece.

i'm really glad i arrived to a real useable bog tone for me, and i discovered some unexpected things, big surprises : the volume of the amp : only at 4 !!!!! yes !
the megavibe sucks compared to the voodoo vibe, for this job, with this particular amp.
the simple stock cunlop blue fuzz does the job a lot: voluyme at max ( 10 ) , fuzz between 5 and 7.

not even a speaker used in this clip ! the 45/100 is the key.
virtual speakers ( g12h30 75hz here ) , i tried with some real pre rolas , same model and it can be even better, just confirming it.
jimi rolled the volume control of the guitar often, between 8-9, and sometimes crancked. that's all. that's how he had a thick tone anyway, through this 45/100 unique filter, and how he got these cleans. or super wilde tones.
yeah, bog = kt66.

i hope that this clip will show it enough. side to side. i could improve the acoustic of this virtual altiverb room, i know, but it takes time and good ears ...

les paul neck pickup > EC-80 ( no tape ,lo in , hi out adds grit ) >EP-3 > JCM800 50watt > red box cab sim > Behringer Mixer
Mackie Tracktion software > Son EQ and AcmeBar Gig After shock delay ( gets a great room sound )
 jimi rocks !
