New '69 Relic Strat with reverse headstock

His guitar slung across his back, his dusty boots is his cadillac.

thats rediculus $6K and its not even acurate. It has a lefty neck. Why cant they make a non custom shop reissue of the 69 the way it came with a maple board like they did the 62 and 57

... Some will even buy it ....
I'm thinking of it ;)

For this price you get a vintage strat......
In some way fender should be pretty mad to loose all the $$$$$$$$ from the vintage instruments business, when they sold it for much less money back then ..

I can't buy their new polyester strats, jaguars ..
With their damn white polyurethan necks . All spoiled.

Who decides at fender ??? CBS ??

I would love to buy a 69 maple neck black reissue like the 62 and 57's were. Not a custom shop just a strait reiisue but they wont make em.

There are amazing guitars to be had in Japan, but it is virtually impossible to buy one. There are ways, but they are outrageously expensive and they dislike selling to foreigners...unless they can rip them off for the maximum amount of money, but even then they make it as difficult as humanly possible.

It is quite frustrating that the best Fender guitars in the world are made and sold only in Japan to Japanese buyers.

hard protectionism is a conscious politic from Japan, and one of the reasons of its rise and success.
Still capitalism like many countrys. just more evident.

Those prices are in a range were you can get a good sounding, original condition 68/69 Strat.
I bought a 69 Sunburst three mont ago, original condition for 6000 Euros and I am the 3rd owner.
I know the seller for years and wehn we discussed the price he said: go ahead and buy a custonshop for a bid less but it will always be a copy and you may loose money going that road.

That reverse headstock is a great feature and I did build a few of those reverse Strats from parts. You can build a reverse Strat from B.Hefner Parts for 1000 USD and have a top player.
But you gus know that anyway.
