Hendrix 'Soul'

Isnt that why we listen ? I mean, he didnt exactly have 'proper' technique.

ALOT of what is unique about Hendrix's playing his his use of repititous downstrokes on certain runs and licks. It (downstrokes) gives it that almost primitive feel. Certain runs sound near 'ametuerish' or unrefined due to this. Ace Frehley and Eddie Hazel also used alot of continuous 'downstrokes', resulting in certain runs having that primal aspect.

Hendrix, imo, is a perfect example of someone who wasnt going to be stopped by technical difficulties, if you know what I mean. Puts 'Musically inclined' (not technically) in perspective, doesnt it :jimi: .

yes, forcing technic and skills to serve the emotions and music ... or fuck them if they can't,
instead of forcing emotions and music to serve the technic and skills ... or fuck them if they can't...
Jimi just didn't forget the prioritys ... not the case of so many out there

can't believe these aren't ashamed at all to produce themselves ... PSY, Lady Gaga, etc.......... no emotions, no music, no technic, no skills .... NO THING !

It seems that most guitarist try to 'Be good at difficult things', instead of 'being good at simple things'.

exactly ...
JJ Cale and Keith Richards for example ... they don't play difficult things technicaly, they don't need, they're amazing composers and guitarists already :toast:
i hate victor wooten and bassists like that, and never dig malmstein..
