Haha, thanks for the 'welcome back', but I've never been off the board.
I've only been very quite for a while, here and on other places due to lots of work, designing new projects and some other hazzles of the 'real life' - I simply had to recognize, that I can't afford no longer, to hang up and post in forums 3...5 hours every day, as it's not seldom been in the past. Then there's still my wife and my daughter 'behind my back', who told me every day several times, that they also want to see something else than only my back with my face to the monitor all day long

Then I've heard something about the "real life" - I've tried to find a download link of the real life, but couldn't find one, nowhere...

You think like this one?

I read his first post as: First stage has 10K and the rest as 1.5Uf/2.3 and .68/820 CF 1K The schematic shows it as 10K at v1b..

Hope he hurries up!

CF is 1k and on the clip the negative feedback was 100k on the 4 ohm tap. I have now changed it and put it on the 8 ohm tap.
I doubt the v30's are gonna give you that woody tone though no matter what yo do to the circuit. they have those annoying upper mids that cant be dialed out but hey thats just me , if it works for you let me know. If anyone has this mod done i would love to hear what it sounds like through someone elses fingers . I will have a look at the schematics tommorow cause ive had too much champagne tonight. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait until the champagne in his blood went off, then he'll see things more clearly again

I think the 1K he is talking about is on the Cathode of the stage right before the CF. Usually where the 820 ohm resistor would be.

Thanks for the insight to your genius!
Thanks alot man , i cant get enough of this amp . I have 2 friends of mine that really want me to build them one now lol.
Lets call it the chameleon mod , still though inspired by marks awesome soundings mods i have to give him credit . Im sure the gurus here are laughing at such an easy mod but what can you do , sometimes simple sounds good !!!!!
Yeah, reading some more than just the 2-3 previous posts can help a lot sometimes 8)

thats the one brian, spot on, I just checked and i actually have 820r over o.68 . I think i first had it 1k when i was goin for the bogner circuit but eventually changed it . Sorry about the confusion.

as it's bogner inspired, you might want to try a 15k tail resistor and to add a 470/510k to ground before the PI input cap
if my memory serves me right it's what was in my 101b (I still hate that amp big time  )

Hey Univalve1234,

Would you be willing to sna a few shots of your amps circuit, and or review the pdf's made by Larry? I think the 03 is close, but according to your posts the second 10K is is supposed to be a 820r and a .68. Sorry bout my Photoshop hack job.. Monday I want to tear into my amp and see if I can get this bad boy up and runnin.
