The chupacabra has a 1meg trim pot on the inside they call the pussy pot. It's just forms a variable voltage divider between stages 2 and 3.

Question about PTP boards on WIKI

Post by ivan H » Sat Jan 19, 2013 7:14 pm

Hi, I just checked the schematic against a chupa schematic I got from another thread on this forum,,, its similar, but the chupa doesnt have the grind & girth controls after the first gain stage, instead it has just a gain control consisting of a 1 meg pot, & the "focus" switch consisting of an 82k & 1meg resistors (in series) off the pots wiper to earth, with a switch that shorts the 1meg resistor. Cheers

So I did get the Chupa PM'd and noticed the heaters. The Hulk schem shows DC regulated vs hum pot on Chupa, anyone tried this DC w/7806 regulator? I ordered a few of the IC's to try.

Just youtubed the Fortin Hulk (orange 1959) very nice! From what I gathered so far, not sure of correctness, but this seems a Chupa spec with a tone network after the 1st gain stage? (Bassman w68k slope) Then it looks like a Chupa for the rest? Correct me if Im wrong.

sorry to post on an old topic, I'm new to the forum and seeking any Fortin schematics possible. If anyone happens to have any that would be amazing or even the schematic from this topic would be more then enough

I believe this schematic was tried and end result was lack of gain and a dud. Tone network sucked the life out of the first stage. I believe the schematic was a thought and not confirmed as the real mod. As I recall a previous thread I read at SLO.
