1959 "normal" behavour

Post by covil » Fri Jun 30, 2017 12:09 pm

I´ve built an 1959 with ppimv from a chassis and transformers of a dead jcm2000.
Everything works, but there´s some things that i wonder is normal behavour for this circuit.

Is it normal when the bright vol is above 6-7, to start to get muddy? even with 0.002coupling and 0.0047bright?

Specs:
bright channel
680n/820ohm
0.002 coupling
bright cap- 3 to chose on a switch 4.7n, 500pf and 100pf

using the ppimv or not using it or both?

should be rockin. the ppimv sounds weird with only 2 gain stages though.
