1966 ge miltary 5ar4/gz34 new old stock 65$ !!

Post by tubetramp » Thu Jul 16, 2009 6:53 pm

direct from my best military connection .original boxes these are as good as any ever made .last forever and a no brainer when summed with any of the generics . the trouble with the new stock models is they dont last and when they go ,they are quite capable of taking valuable components with them.tt

Just want to say that TT has always been an excellent source for NOS tubes! And a riot to boot. Love the guy!

No need to settle for run of the mill new tubes or take chances on Ebay stuff, just shoot him an email with what you're looking for.

Silly question.
In addition to these old stock rectifiers being bullet-proof and virtually immortal, do they tend to provide a higher plate voltage than the modern equivalents?

Dunno. I popped them in my cathode bias amps and forgot about it.

There was a guy on ebay selling a few pairs of Matsushita's (Zaerix branded) on ebay for $49.99.
Nobody bid and he never re-listed. Big shame. I was hoping to snag a pair. I've not had a tube-rectified amp as yet, but am wondering what to build next, and my stocks seem to be rising steadily!
