Coming June 2013: Head Master amp switcher

Just a heads up. I've been working on a new product in the Metropoulos line and it will be in production soon.

What it is:

Stand alone unit for switching two amps into one speaker cabinet. I use the prototypes here on the bench for tweaking my replica amps next to my original plexis. Guitar signal and speaker signal are fully switched and isolated. Amps are always properly loaded. No buffers to color your guitar tone, what you put in is what you get out.

What it's called:

Head Master

Applications:

Techs building clone amps, live performance (2 amps, one cab), recording studios, rack systems.

Options:

Available in a chassis only version, with heavy hook and loop fastening tape, useful for pedal boards, racks and desktop.
Headbox version with wooden headcab, handle and feet. Will look great on a stack or anywhere else.

Full set of matched and color coded cables (2 identical guitar cables, 2 identical speaker cables) important for true A/B listening tests.

Includes:

foot switch, power supply and hook up diagram.

Cost:

I have to confirm prices on the headcab, but prices will be in this ballpark: Head Master (chassis version) $275.00, Head Master Royal (headcab version) $365. Head Master cable kit $75.

When:

Full, finished prototypes should be ready next week. Once I'm satisfied with the complete product I will put all of the parts into production. Anticipate shipping units by the time of Nashville Amp Expo Sept 6-9. I may take pre-orders if there is interest and all goes well.

Prototype #1 is assembled and working great!

I need to change a few things about the box. Might have to make it somewhat larger. The maker had a really hard time wrapping the tolex and getting the gold piping right.

You can also see how the alignment of the screening was off. A scaling issue was to blame and is now fixed.

This is a proof of concept type of prototype, I have several details to tweak and finalize. I expect to have this product on the street by the Nashville amp expo Sept 6-9.

Thanks! Everything seems to be in order on these. I may list them in the store for pre-orders next week.

I'm making a few tweaks to the headcab dimensions, getting the logos in production and I created some hook up diagram art work which will be printed on top of the chassis. More useful for the chassis only version, obviously.
