Need to sell some items

Post by VelvetGeorge » Mon Jun 16, 2014 3:01 pm

I may make an offer on a house this week and I'll need to get money together for a down payment. I'm not good at letting go of gear, but I might have to find a way to let a few pieces go.

Things I might consider letting go:

'70 Super tremelo head. Recovered cab. Original trannys, filter caps and most parts. Had a Master mod installed a long time ago,the phase inverter cathode type (add resistance in series with the 470 ohm cathode resistor). Sounds great, awesome early metal panel.
I hope to document the chassis in CAD before it leaves, I'll try to do that this week.

early '68 Superlead. 10,XXX serial number making it early. Dagnall OT, replaced PT. Member Neil Keeling recovered the cab and did lots of restoration work on this amp. Cracks in original front panel. I'll bet pics together. Hate to see this one go, but I have my other '68.

Les Paul replica made by Zaukus guitars in Nashville. Great playing and sounding guitar, just too heavy for me at around 11 pounds. Nice beefy neck, if you're in to that. I am.

'69 Super Reverb. Nice and clean, but a few small blems. One in the grill cloth. Early silver face. Low efficiency speakers make it less loud than other SR from the era. I haven't played it in a while, I'll pull it out an go through it.

There may be more, I have to decide what I can part with. please contact me with any interest. I'll start taking pics.

'68 Superlead and '70 Super Tremolo amps have new homes. Both are going to great owners, which makes it easier to let them go.
I'm back in negotiation on the house, so something had to go.

Still have the Super Reverb and burst replica. There's a JCM 800 straight cab here too, with Celestion prototype speakers that I might part with.
I have a dead mint 1980 100W Master Volume too that could go for the right price. it was converted to EL34's, but I saved the parts and original 6550 tubes.
