Little more progress this past weekend. Cool coloured tube shields. You need the shorter version 9 sockets for these. Double bolts on the ground.

I got a set of those Achilles plates from ebay for $20. They have a plug in cord so I had to improvise with a pickguard. Worked well.

At the rate I'm going, I'm thinking Xmas. Providing the Zombie Apocalypse doesn't take us all out Dec 21st, of course.

I just got some .82uf mustards. Like sausages.

What amp is that? How does it sound? Looks very modern.

It's a Blankenship. From his Facebook page. Not sure if it's a 100 or 50. Pretty cool eh? When you first see it you think it's made by Apple.

Svetlana for the preamp and power tubes. Got a good deal so I grabbed 2 complete matched sets from the tubestore. I believe the 12ax7's on these are short plates. Heard they sound good though.

Svets are great ! Very Brown when pushed. They are as FAR away from 6l6 as you can get. VERY European EL-34 sounding. Mollassis mids  . MUCH softer/warmer than 6l6 or EH 6ca7 .
