It was great to get over to Kevin's place to hear a brand spankin new build and see if it had the goods compared to his 12003 amp. Judging from the clips, I'd say you tightened up a few things and it sounds great. When you plug into this slaved rig with the two wet - dry cabs and the MM 1300 pup...it FEELS like you're playing Ed's live rig. And this was done with EH 6CA7's! I couldn't put down the guitar, basically drove Kevin crazy while he was trying to troubleshoot some things. Went through every VH riff I could think of and it just sang...the rig was pulling stuff out of me that I didn't even think I knew

We can debate slave or not slaved all day long, but the amp will sound kick ass with just straight attenuation from the Hot Plate. This setup just kills for getting the verb in the line out loop.

And Kevin, you're playing is getting better dude. Clip sounds great :vh:

Yep, that amp needs two dozen hours to start really purring. The intense breakup is still a mystery in YRGM and the woody focus of ITO seems to be not quite in our grasp. Anybody check out George's latest 12xxx build, I love the treatment he did on the chassis!

Sounds awesome!!!

How do you like that El Menco Mylar dipped cap on V2 as opposed to a mustard. I presume it is a .0022?

Its part of the sizzle equation. Some say less musical but gotta have the sizzle! Yep .0022.
