Just completed the JTM 45 kit build, and checking voltages. All good up until installing the pre-amp tubes. Tubes lit up O.k.
Next stage in the instructions was to turn on the standby switch, and upon doing so, the indicator light goes off. I have amp power plugged into dim bulb circuit and the bulb isn't coming on, so it's not a dead short anywhere so far. Any thoughts on what may be causing this????
thanks for any help

Re: indicator light turns off when standby switch in turned on
Most likely it is the limiter. Some of the pilot lights require a certain voltage to light and the limiter will cut your voltages quite a bit. If you did the initial power up and the bulb didn't light brightly, it's time to remove the limiter and fire it up normally. You can't take accurate voltage readings while plugged into it and the amp will not play properly either.
